Jul-05-06  BIDMONFA: Peter Dely

DELY, Peter

Jul-05-08  bravado1: I think it was Dely who played a very important game against Honfi, where black sacrifices a pawn for initiative in the early stages of the Sicilian. This pawn sacrifice was later successfully adopted by Kasparov in the world championship match against Karpov and in other games. Unfortunately, I can't find that game (Honfi-Deli) in this database.

Jonathan Sarfati: The Hungarian name “Dely” would be pronounced like the English “day”.
