 | | perfidious: <Sneaky> In short, yes. |
Oct-12-14 | | OrigamiArtist: Conrad93 is an idiot. There is no point debating with idiots. Great performance from Nigel Short to outright win yet another very strong open tournament. |
Oct-12-14 | | GlennOliver: Pokerstars is not the only poker site where statistically rare high-value hands and combinations of such hands happen with astonishing regularity. And also there are poker sites where some of the "players" are incapable of engaging in human conversation. But are capable of benefitting from extremely lucky deals. Isn't that right, Victor? |
Oct-12-14 | | siggemannen: Well done N. Short, steamrolling Howell in the last round |
Oct-12-14 | | waustad: It was good to see GM James Tarjan playing a FIDE rated tournament. He also played in the US Open, where he came in 8th, which according to his WIKI page was his first competition in 30 years. |
Oct-12-14 | | lechacal: GlennOliver<And also there are poker sites where some of the "players" are incapable of engaging in human conversation> Good player can play 10+ tables at the same time. It is normal that they don't have time to chat. LOL |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: Selective memory has nothing to do with it, though. You are being biased yourself by assuming that this is the case. I just know the casino is a completely different experience, and I'm not the only person who thinks that the site is rigged. As for hand history, I'm not going to bother. Too much effort for too little reward. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: I don't even do that well in the casino, and I can still see the difference. |

 | | perfidious: <donkrad: As for hand history, I'm not going to bother. Too much effort for too little reward.> In other words, this is just another bombastic statement with nothing to substantiate it; typical. <I don't even do that well in the casino, and I can still see the difference.> You don't fare well in the casino because you have no understanding of the game, as is abundantly clear from your posts. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: Compared to chess, poker isn't much of a skill game. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: The only reason to play it is for the money, but the game is pretty one-dimensional. Of course fanboys will be fanboys... |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: Perfidious, if you want to waste your money in the hope that PokerStars is fair and completely reliable go ahead.
I'll save my money by taking my chances at the casino where I evidently and clearly do much better. Is that a sign of some kind of magic, or is the reality that a site that was not too long ago shut down by the FBI might be a scam. You decide. |
Oct-13-14 | | lechacal: Conrad93<Is that a sign of some kind of magic, or is the reality that a site that was not too long ago shut down by the FBI might be a scam.> PokerStars (Along with FullTiltPoker and UltimateBet) was shut down by the FBI because USA (a.k.a land of the ''free'') arbitrarily decided it was illegal to play poker online. PokerStars is the only site to be shut down who paid back the money they owed to players. PokerStars even bought FullTiltPoker and paid the debt of FullTiltPoker (150 millions) to the poker players worldwide. PokerStars managed this situation very well (in opposition to FullTiltPoker) |
Oct-13-14 | | lechacal: Conrad93<The only reason to play it is for the money, but the game is pretty one-dimensional.> The only thing one-dimensional is your thinking process. <Compared to chess, poker isn't much of a skill game.> Poker is a game of skill but because you have no skills, you can't understand it. |
Oct-13-14 | | lechacal: Conrad93. After reading all of your kibitz, i draw the conclusion that OrigamiArtist was right to say : <Conrad93 is an idiot. There is no point debating with idiots.> Good luck with your life and enjoy your ignorance and your mediocrity. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: Aww, someone is upset...!
This will surely ruin my day.
Not. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: <PokerStars (Along with FullTiltPoker and UltimateBet) was shut down by the FBI because USA (a.k.a land of the ''free'') arbitrarily decided it was illegal to play poker online.> Yeah, that's not what happened. |
Oct-13-14 | | Conrad93: <Conrad93. After reading all of your kibitz, i draw the conclusion that OrigamiArtist was right to say : <Conrad93 is an idiot. There is no point debating with idiots.> Good luck with your life and enjoy your ignorance and your mediocrity.>
That's saying a lot coming from a guy who seems to think poker is more than just gambling. Even knowing the theory won't guarantee that some complete newb won't beat you. Overall, it's a game for the mentally challenged and the eternally hopeful. May God have mercy on your soul, and may you recover from your gambling addiction. |
Oct-13-14 | | lechacal: <Even knowing the theory won't guarantee that some complete newb won't beat you.> In the long run, the best player will always take advantage of the newb. You will understand this the day you will play more than 50 hands of poker a month. |

listen at 1:25 and 2:54. |
Oct-14-14 | | lechacal: Conrad93. You are more close-minded about poker than Pope Radzinger was about homosexuality. |
Oct-15-14 | | GlennOliver: lechacal: < Good player can play 10+ tables at the same time. It is normal that they don't have time to chat.> Yes, for them it is normal.
But, as you must know, I am not talking about top human players, I am talking about the bot-shills which corrupt poker sites use to skim off large sums from genuine human players. |
Oct-16-14 | | lechacal: <lechacal: < Good player can play 10+ tables at the same time. It is normal that they don't have time to chat.>
Yes, for them it is normal.
But, as you must know, I am not talking about top human players, I am talking about the bot-shills which corrupt poker sites use to skim off large sums from genuine human players.> Bots are not run by poker sites, they are run by some programmers (not linked with the poker sites) which wants to make some easy money. When PokerStars detect a bot, the account is banned, the money on the account confiscated and distributed to the players who have been cheated. |
Oct-18-14 | | fisayo123: Gawain had 9 decisive games in a row. Very rare at GM level. |
Oct-19-14 | | Ke2: Damn Nigel Short is still alive? |
