Ivan Radulov was born in Burgas. He is a civil engineer. Awarded the IM title in 1968 and the GM title in 1972, he won the Bulgarian Championship in 1971, 1974, 1977 and 1980 (on the last three occasions after play-offs). A regular on the Bulgarian Olympiad squad from 1968 to 1986 (playing in 8 Olympiads) he has also performed well in a number of international tournaments. 1st at Torremolinos 1971, 1st at Helsinki 1972, 1st at Montilla 1974, equal 1st at Montilla and Bajmok 1975 and 2nd at Silkeborg 1983.

I remember when you being a member of the Bulgarian team obtained the Bronze Medals in the 1966 Olympiad ahead of the U.S.A,West Germany,Hungary,Argentina,etal.and beating Yugoslavia in second place.You were also awarded a special prize by way of an inscribed watch for the second best score on your board namely 10.5 points from 14 games (75%)

During the second game, I awaked you a coupple of times, for asking your move! I wish you all the best, trainer!
