KAREL OPOCENSKY (born Feb-07-1892, died Nov-16-1975) Czech Republic [what is this?] Karel Opocensky born 1892 was awarded the IM title in 1950 and was Czech Champion in 1927, 1928, 1938 and 1944 (co-champion in 1943). He was 1st= at Arbon 1946 and scored the best individual result on board 4 at the 1933 Olympiad at Folkestone. He was the chief arbiter at the 1951 and 1954 world chess championships.
