Moskvoretsky House of Pioneers Championship 1935 (Fall) 1st, with +11 -0 =0. Smyslov was later awarded the 1st category rank in the fall of 1936. Romanovsky, p.xi. In Vasily Smyslov, "My Best Games of Chess (1935-1957)" P.H. Clarke ed., transl. Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1958 ; Genna Sosonko, "The World Champions I Knew" (New in Chess 2013), pp.126-27

??? Di Felice's "Chess Results 1936-1940," p.118 lists Smyslov playing in a <"Masters vs. Candidate Masters 1937"> event in Moscow, scoring +4 -0 =2. However, Di Felice does not list a primary source, and I cannot confirm this event. Given the fact that Smyslov wasn't awarded the <candidate master> title until *after* 1937, and that neither Smyslov nor Pyotr Romanovsky's biography of Smyslov mentions such an event, I think this is probably a mistaken entry by Di Felice.
