Tabanus: IM Helgi Dam Ziska, Faroe Islands, born 27 July 1990. Now rated 2426,

IM in 2007. Rated 2435 in March 2010.

IM application:

Sportsman of the year 2006 in the Faroes:

Biographies: (in German) (in Polish)

Notable games:
H Ziska vs Van Wely, 2008
H Ziska vs Timman, 2006

3rd today in the Heini Olsen Memorial 20-26 July 2010:

Mar-22-11  waustad: A win against Timman and now a draw with Svidler. Not bad for a young IM.
Dec-09-13  waustad: I'm impressed that olimpbase already has all of the games from the 3rd Small Nations Chess Team Tournament: Monte Carlo 2013 already in the database. Helgi Dam Ziska came a little behind Oscar De la Riva Aguado for first board, but the Faroe Islanders won, despite losing their match with Andorra. I just read about this a few days ago on chessbase. I guess that they were so tardy with some events about a year ago because they were doing so much work doing an excellent upgrade they rolled out some months ago.

perfidious: <HMM> Next time, use a rubber Dam!
Aug-25-16  MCDreamz: Yep, that would temporarily stop the bleeding. But still...insane home prep is insane.
