GrahamClayton: Secretary of the Deutscher Schachbund from 1950 to 1967.
Nov-30-11  Antiochus: Outside Germany he is best known for having played the Madrid tournamentin 1943 with the Werhmacht's uniform. This tournament was also the better of his career, Brinckmann was second behind Paul Keres .
Nov-30-11  whiteshark: It seems that the 1920ties/early 1930ties were his best times.
Nov-30-11  Antiochus: Well, saying better_Brinckmann was third after Paul Keres and Juan Manuel Fuentes .Look at here http://www.thechesslibrary.com/file... The tournament book was wrote by Alekhine and it is downloadable in google. Try ajedrez Madrid 1943 (only in spanish).

Telemus: <Nosnibor: Where are the tournament games from Berlin 1927 ?> Some databases (365chess, chessbase etc) have four of his games from that event: vs List, Nimzowitsch, Bogoljubow and Enoch, respectively. I have just found the game with Elstner in a newspaper.

When the submission of games is working again, I would like to submit it.

Gilliam published 2018 a booklett: "Berlin May 1927 Bad Homburg 1927". Maybe he has more.
