Dec-28-17 | | PhilFeeley: <HeMateMe: <offramp: I live in London, there are 10,000,000 people living here but I don't think I could get more than 50.> Really? If you walk through Trafalgar Square or Hyde Park on the weekend couldn't you find 50 chessplayers? Aren't there stone chess tables and people setting up roll out latex boards on any surface, in the larger London Parks, as it is in NYC?> There's also a great bookshop devoted to everything chess. It's out near the place they celebrate as the residence of Sherlock Holmes. I went there once and they have a great selection of books, DVDs and chess sets. Online presence, too, I think. Surely there's more than 50 people who shop there. |

It's 221b, and curiously, it's incorrect according to the addresses around it. |

 | | offramp: < oolalimk1: ...an inscription inside signed Laszlo Munster den 27.06.2001.> If the signature can be proved to be by the real Laszlo Munster then the book could be worth about 108 million stotinki. |
|
Jan-30-21 | | oolalimk1: I thought his name would be Laszlo Polgar. I thought Munster was an area. Of course I dont know what a stotinki is either ! |

 | | Sally Simpson: Good spot Perfidious, however the game given in the article S. Polgar v E. Mate is not in the database. I have submitted it. I did have a half hearted attempt at trying to find the first name of Mrs/Miss E. Mate. But googling 'E.Mate + female chess player ' was, as you guess with 'Mate' in the search, pretty fruitless. |
